Israeli CPI Up .0.4% in October

The Central Bureau of Statistics announced that prices rose by 0.4% in October vs. September. In addition, they reported that the price of apartments went up 0.2%. The price increase was expected. Over the last year, the cumulative price increase came to 0.7%. The reason for the overall spike in prices in October was due to the 6.9% rise in clothing prices, which mostly represented a seasonal increase. The price of fruits and vegetables rose 2%. Other food items went up by 0.7% 

The increase in the price of apartments continues to be a constant trend that has resulted in 1.9% increase over the course of a year. In October, the prices of Jerusalem apartments led the rise by 1.2%, while the price of apartments in Tel Aviv went down by 0.8%.
