Teva Enters Into an $85 Million Settlement with Oklahoma

Teva

Teva Pharmaceutical has entered into a settlement with the State of Oklahoma over the company’s marketing of Opioid drugs. Although Teva has not admitted any wrongdoing, it has agreed to pay a fine of $85 million to settle all outstanding claims against by the State.  In the statement, Teva declared the company has not contributed to the Opioid crisis in Oklahoma, in any way.  Teva faces additional lawsuits in other venues — the biggest of which is a federal case taking place in Ohio. The settlement was announced by Teva on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, a time certain to receive minimal attention.
