Israel Aircraft Industries has signed a new contract with the Indian Navy, to provide service and support for the Barak-8 System it sold to the Navy, jointly with the Indian DRDO. The Barak-8 is the cornerstone of the relationship between IAI and the Indian Navy, having sold these systems to India’s Navy for $1.6 billion in 2017. This deal constituted the largest sale in IAI’s history, and led to additional sales of the Barak defensive missile system. Sales of the Barak system to various parts of the Indian Defense establishment have totaled $3.5 billion, to-date.
