The Israeli Energy Ministry has finally issued tenders to cities to create electrical charging stations in many parts of the country. Jerusalem will be able to build 100 chargers (each charger charges two cars). Holon will create 60 chargers and Ashdod will create 36, as will Modi’in Illit., Modiin Maccabim/Reut and Herzilya will build 32 charger outlets and Haifa will create 256. In addition, Union Motors will place 150 chargers in entertainment and shopping centers, Central Park will place 130 charging stations. Other companies will install another 200 in locations such as: Gindi, Azrielli shopping centers, Sarona, and other public spaces. The Energy Ministry will give companies and municipalities approximately 8,000 shekels per installation.
