The JFST systems will be supplied over a period of two years, following which Elbit Systems UK will provide an additional four years of maintenance, technical support and on-site training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under this contract, Elbit Systems UK will provide both fixed and mobile systems that are comprised of multiple networked simulators set to train mounted and dismounted Joint Fires teams and Joint Fires Cells. JFST systems will also be supporting exercises for reserve forces and teams deployed at sea, such as those onboard the Royal Navy\u2019s Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Martin Fausset, CEO of Elbit Systems UK, said: \u201cWe are proud to have been selected by the UK MoD to supply the JFST systems, providing a valuable capability for the British Army and delivering an operationally proven capability into the UK, together with our local partners.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elbit Systems also announced new wearable devices for the dismounted warrior. Expanding the Company\u2019s DOMINATOR warrior combat suite, the newly launched set includes four devices that integrate seamlessly with radio systems and with Battle Management Systems: SmartEye \u2013 a head-mounted C2 display; Smart WristView \u2013 a wrist-strapped C2 display; SmartSight \u2013 a C2 add-on to weapon sights; and SmartNVG \u2013 a C2 add-on to Night Vision Goggles (NVG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SmartEye<\/strong> is ballistic eyewear that provides dismounted commanders with a geo-oriented head-mounted C2 display. Projecting a see-through Augmented Reality (AR) symbology on the visor and enabling real-time image detection, SmartEye provides users with instant situational awareness.
