Voca.ai, which uses artificial intelligence to develop virtual phone agents, announced today it has received a strategic investment from American Express Ventures. Look Ventures and Flint Capital, who were earlier investors in the company, also participated in this latest financing round, whose total was not disclosed. Voca.ai had raised $2.6 million in December. American Express is a natural customer for Voca.ai, as their virtual phone agents can replace American Express customer service representatives. According to the company, Voca.ai virtual agents have served more than 2 million calls per month across a wide variety of industries.
