American Airlines plans to return to Israel. After its merger with US Air, American flew to Israel for a brief period, after acquiring US Air’s Philadelphia-Tel Aviv route; a route which American terminated soon after the merger. American announced its new destinations for 2020, which include Tel Aviv. Starting in September 2020, American Airlines will begin non-stop service from its hub at Dallas, Ft. Worth airport, three times each week. Flight time is expected to be 12 hours and American will use its 787 Dreamliner fleet to service the route.
