The Israeli cybersecurity startup “Kodem” was founded precisely two years ago, in June 2021, and has been operating under the media radar, in a so-called “stealth mode”. The company has recently unveiled itself to the media after having raised $25 million from Greylock and TPY Capital.
The unveiling comes at a time when Kodem, which currently employs 30 people, aims to hire more workforce and expand sales in the US.
Kodem was founded by three graduates of the elite Israeli military intelligence unit 8200, and alumni of NSO Group, a cybersecurity firm known for its controversial spyware, Pegasus. Kodem’s CEO, Aviv Mosinzon, previously served as the Director of R&D at NSO; Pavel Forman, Kodem’s VP of Technology, was a Security Research Manager at NSO; and Idan Bartoura, the company’s engineering manager, was a R&D team manager at NSO.
