BigID has raised $50 million in C-Round financing. The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, who have invested in BigID since its founding. BigID has raised a total of $96 million. Other investors in the round include: SAP.io Fund, Comcast Ventures, Boldstart Ventures, Scale Venture Partners, and ClearSky. BigID, a cybersecurity firm, specializes in identification of all the private data retained a company and uses machine learning to determine what level of protection those identities possess. BigID’s algorithm also automatically validates GDPR compliance. Given the differing levels of privacy required by various companies, BigID believes it provides a unique solution to a very costly problem.
